Teresa Tomassoni 

Teresa is an environmental journalist and reports globally on oceans, rainforests, animals and the people protecting them. Her stories have been published by The Washington Post, Bloomberg Green, NBC and the American Indian Magazine. She is also an educator and teaches courses on climate solutions journalism for The School of the New York Times. Teresa holds a master's degree in journalism from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism and a bachelor's degree in international health and social work from LIU Global. She tries to spend as much time as possible in the water snorkeling, scuba diving, learning to surf, and practicing underwater photography. Her love for the water stems from kayaking and searching for fossilized shark teeth along the Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay in Maryland.

Hernan Jurado Quintero

Hernan is a graphic designer, muralist, sculptor and animator from Bogotá, Colombia where he studied at UNITEC University Corporation. His art is inspired by nature, ancient cultures and mythologies and especially sea turtles and whales. Many of his large-scale murals and sculptures made of recycled plastic are dedicated to protecting these animals throughout Colombia and the Caribbean where he has volunteered with sea turtle and whale monitoring projects. Hernan is also a passionate educator and regularly facilitates creative educational workshops on both nature's rights and human rights in schools and other community organizations. In his spare time he is writing and illustrating graphic novels and hand painting "wearable art" on t-shirts, hats and more.
